I'm actually shocked they were open this long. I had a bad experience with them and thought they had the worst customer service.

I've done a few classes with my son there and enjoyed them. But overall, I felt the membership was overpriced, the quality of the childcare at the indoor playground was poor, and I had some customer service issues myself.
Plus, they closed the little cafe in the lobby last year, just replacing it with junky vending machines, and ever since then the eating area with tables and chairs has been so dirty and sloppy-- all sorts of food that people brought in just laying there, with nobody cleaning it up.
It was a great concept but difficult to execute and keep up, IMO.

yup heard from a friend that they were closing. To be honest, I always compared it to once upon a treetop and you couldn't compare, I always thought once upon had a MUCH better play area...

I didn't realize they were closing, but I do agreet with this post. I also compare it to Once Upon a Treetop and I definitely prefer Once Upon a Treetop over Orly's. (I wish I could have my birthday at Once Upon a Treetop! )

I hated Orlys.. Love once upon a treetop... At Orlys we did the open play and there were kids there that were dropped off and they WERE not supervised at all..

Sunday is the last day. The party should still be on.
Not too sure about that. They have sold just about everything off, the place is basically empty and I heard they were calling to cancel parties for this weekend. I don't see how they could hold a party there, the kids gym is almost empty, they sold all the stuff from the playground, even most of the classroom chairs are gone.

yeah its done. I was there today and everything is sold. and my friend who has karate there said everything got cancelled all the classes and parties for this weekend

The parents emailed me. The party is canceled. The people at Orly's contacted them today! How unfortunate that these people have to scramble last minute to find a new place for a party for a 5 year old.

It sucks big time I hope your friend can find someplace to have her party. This whole thing is crazy, the staff just found out they were closing on Monday in the middle of the day. As of yesterday, the plan was to stay open for this week's classes and for weekend parties. They found out this morning that parties and classes were being cancelled.

the owner was not very nice or good at her job....and all she did was b*tch about Once Upon a Treetop...
BUT....in 2008, I had Bella's 3rd party there. It was pricey and we didn't have a party last year because of it...but it was awesome. 2 hours, a ton of activities, 30+ kids, I didn't lift a finger, and Bella got her hair and "make-up" done (granted, the Cinderella visit was 18 year old redhead in a poorly fitted get-up, but she was THREE, and SO happy  ) The moms at school were still talking about it last week at one of the gymnastic parties we went to.
I just think it was poorly managed, geared towards higher end mommies (I mean, a blowout is the LAST thing on my mind at a kiddie party place)
I wish OUAT was closer for me....there are so few places that are close to me and Pump It Up and Gym parties are getting OLD....

i went to orlys once it was dirty with broken toys i never went back i could tell it wasnt going to stay open long
i love once upon a treetop and gymboree.

I think I must have missed something when I was there. All I remember is a "small" area with a treehouse and NOTHING else to do except play with plastic fruit and try on a costume dress. That fun lasted all of 7 minutes. Were there other rooms? I guess it doesn't matter now!

well hair play the kids hair salon is moving somewhere I heard. Denise is the owne and her number is 516-477-0028 if you want to use her again.
