Nook help!
I downloaded the adobe digital reader and downloaded a couple of books, I got them on my nook but when I go to read them it says user not activated but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to do this 
The website says that when I plug in my nook and open the adobe program a prompt will come up but nothing does. Help!

I haven't done it yet, but... are you sure you have the right software? I thought it was called "Adobe Digital Editions" and not Adobe reader.

adobe reader I believe is a computer application for viewing PDF files.
I haven't done it yet, but... are you sure you have the right software? I thought it was called "Adobe Digital Editions" and not Adobe reader.

Yup I figured it out too. It was the right software but just make sure you create an Adobe ID first or it downloads the software onto the nook first and then you cant authorize it. It was such a dumb thing but it took me like 2 hours to figure out. I already downloaded books

Great! I am going to go down to the library tomorrow to renew my card and then give it a go.

Reading the Lost Symbol now since I had not read it. Next on my request list is "the S*it my dad says" just to change pace.

So I just finished the book I purchased and was trying to log into Nassau's site to d/l a book for tomorrow - and for some reason it won't let me login.
I logged in yesterday with no issues and put some books on my list so I'm not sure what that's about. I hope it's only a temporary blip. I'll try it out again tomorrow morning, if not I'll start on some B&N freebies and visit the library to have them check on my card.

I had the same problem yesterday. I called my library after tried all day and their computer were down. I tried loggin in this morning but again it looks like I don't have a valid card.
I also tried this morning, same thing. So on the way to work I stopped in and they said the are down until 11AM. They seemed kinda pizzy about it, saying "The library is closed until 11" and then staring at me blankly. OK, but its usually open at 9AM, and there are no signs, so.... I said I tried yesterday and this morning and no good to which they finally said "The card catalog was down all day yesterday and until 11PM today".
They should put up a maintenance page or different error stating that it's a system wide thing...

yes. Lots of reference books are not on Nook. And just to look around.

I walk around with a pad and paper - write down ones that seem interesting then go home and check Suffolk and Nassau library and add the books to my wishlist.
