Writing a letter on behalf of a couple

My mom has been asked to write a letter about a couple in the adoption process. She truly adores this couple and feels they will make wonderful parents.

Any advice on what she should put in the letter?

I wrote a letter for our close friends for their adoption. I made sure to include how long I have known the couple, why you think they will be good parents and how having a child will be blessing to their family.

She should explain why she thinks they would make wonderful parents. What attributes do they possess that make them ideal parents? Has she seen them interact with children? If so, what is appealing about that interaction? There may be specific questions she has to answer also. Be sure she checks with the couple.

I wrote one for Susan... I think the most important thing to get across is why she feels they would be good adoptive parents. Go into their personalities, how they interact together, how they resolve issues, how they've overcome obstacles together, etc. Try to add as much insight that she has about the couple that no one else would know. I talked about how I grew up with Susan and how I always observed her caring and tending for others, and how that was the overwhelming theme in her life, and that's why, ultimately, it was so obvious that they would be incredible adoptive parents. I tried to get into details that showed their personalities and gave insight into their lives that only a close friend would know...

if it is an international adoption, I would also add how the parents will keep the child involved in the culture and customs of where they come from
