suggest your printer/copier/scanner NOT HP
mine just died. Got the stupid message "check color cartridge" and its a fairly new cartridge; the printer is about 4. I've done all the suggested fixes for it and none work.
I'd like to get away from HP. Looking for suggestions. TIA!

Sorry to say, HP is the real leader in printers. I would recommend getting a Laser printer as many people don't know the cost is pretty much the same if you shop right. The toners will last so much longer then ink cartridges.
When you say 4, you meant 4 years?

thx, i'm going to look into a laser. yep 4 yrs. i hate that things are never made to last anymore. And believe me I hardly used it

I F*** hate HP. I bought one earlier this year and it totally blows. It didnt work right from the start and customer service sucks.
I went back to using my old cannon until it crapped out on me a few weeks ago.
I got a CANNON MX340 INKJET ALL IN ONE it was like $80 in staples and it works fabulous. It installed correctly & with no problems (unlike HP) and prints what i need it to print. Scans fine (unlike HP) and copies from the press of a button (which the HP scanner had like ten workarounds on their site for this problem.)

etA: I ALSO have a dell color laser 3110cn that i use for my business. but it tends to be a pain in the arse when printing envelopes. So i use an inkjet for that. the HP couldnt even print on envelopes and there is no envelope paper setting in the HP printer i had.

really? I like HP, although I've heard kodak is pretty good for photos, I've never had luck with Epson. FM if you're interested in a photo printer, we just upgraded to a all in one and my printer is just sitting there collecting dust. tried to post it on craigslist, but all I got was scammers.

I'm curious as to what model of HP you have. There was a design flaw on the HP 7410 causing issues with the color cartridge

i was just about to ask this same question. I was looking the hp 3 in 1 wireless preminum but didin't read such good reviews on it the other one was the epson artsin 810. which so far sounds good anyone have opinions?
