what do you buy? I am going to go for the first time tomorrow, and need suggestions!! Thanks!

Produce. They have a good variety & everything is always in much better shape than my local supermarket. I like that everything is clearly labelled as conventional or organic & where it is from.

Same for the fish, but it can be a little expensive.

They also have an excellent selection of cheese & beer.

The bakery breads are very good, but I am not a big fan of the desserts.
As for packaged stuff, we like & occasionally buy GUS soda, their own sparkling lemonade, and Sweet Riot chocolates.

I usually buy the bulk beans and bulk rice. I buy produce and frozen organic veggies and fruits (really good price from 365). We do buy meats mainly chicken the natural, no antibodies, no hormones kind not the organic. We buy cereal, pate and cheese.

I agree with the above posters - love their produce, generally buy the antibiotic-free meats. Fish is great. And love their cheeses. The one I go to has a small but good selection of beer. I also found some good tea bags for iced tea. It's definitely easy to overspend, so I try to go after I've just had breakfast so I don't feel like throwing everything into the cart! One night we went after work and were so hungry and bought some take-out stuff from the counter and ended up spending a ton.

I love wholefoods, it is def. my fave food store. I used to go there for lunch all the time bc my school was right there. Their desserts are so adorable too.
