Prenatals - a little TMI
Hi Ladies, Sorry to bother you, as I don't post here very often. I had a question about Prenatals. Those of you that are taking them, have you noticed any constipation issues? Sorry for the TMI, I'm just trying to see if they are my issue. Thanks!

its actually very normal but you should try another one it might go away. I thankfully didn't get that with the 1st one I tried. Alof of girls have had to try a few before they found one that worked well for them
Are you sure your not pregnant? sometimes thats a sign too

Thanks! I'm pretty positive I'm not pregnant. We're not trying...yet. I'm taking them to get ready for it.

Re: Prenatals - a little TMI
They can definitely be binding -- I understand it's from the iron in them.
Before I got PG I was taking women's one a day prenatal (and regular women's one a day) and I switched to Prenate Essential (which is prescription) and I found that both of those seemed to be ok as far as not causing that little (annoying) problem. I still had the problem my first trimester, but I don't think it was from the vitamins at that point.
Extra fiber can go a long way, too... can't hurt to eat more leafy greens or switch to a fiber-rich cereal.
Feel better!

I stopped taking ones that iron in them. I know it's important, but I figure I'll switch back once I actually get a BFP.

This happens when I take Calcium supplements. I feel like there's a rock in my tummy, and even feel like barfing. I used to chow down on prunes, raisins and also put some in my oatmeal. Drink lots of water as well.
