Getting your wedding gown preserved?
Has anyone done this?
What do they really do to it?
How much does it cost?
Mine has just been sitting in my closet since the wedding...

Same here took it off put in my garment bag and it has been hanging in the guest room at my mom's since the wedding.
I will be pulling it out to do some after the wedding shots, so i think I may hold off preserving it until that is done.

mines still in my closet too... i was told that because it was all silk and lace it would cost extra to preserve. i dont know if thats true or not, but the last thing i want to do is spend MORE money on a dress i will never ever wear again!

mine is preserved (thinking i could let my daughter wear it )or add some pieces into her wedding dress when she gets married or even use material for communion dress............. but.............. i had a boy and think i am done having kids. so no idea why it is preserved!

I just got mine done after 2 years! I took it to a cleaners in East Meadow on Hempstead Trpk and when I picked it up, I don't know how to explain it...it looks like a barbie case!
They handed me this giant suitcase thing, and when I opened it up there was my dress on display on a form of some kind. Very cool, but now I don't know what to do with it!

I like that idea and the communion dress idea. Such a shame mine is hanging in my Mom's guest room with grass stains on the bottom!
