Spinoff-are you the kind of person who
absolutely HAS to finish a book once you pick it up, regardless of whether or not you like it? Or do you just give if you are not enjoying it after a few chapters? I have known people who refuse to put a book down, even if they are hating every word, just to say they finished it. I am so the opposite...there are sooo many books I want to read, I dont want to waste time reading something I'm not enjoying.

I used to finish books JUST to finish what i started
BUT NOW--i have changed---there are too many GREAT books out there for me to read and I dont want to wast my time with a dud

I used to be, but now I'm willing to move on.
Although if it's a book I own I'm more likely to go back to it at some point, whereas a borrowed book I don't think about after I move on.

I have been known to suffer through books because I am most definitely the type of person who has to finish the book.

I used to be. I had to read a book cover to cover with no other books in between or I felt like I was cheating regardless of whether or not I liked it. Then I switched my major from journalism to English and had to read 28 books in one semester   and that theory went right out the window.

Me too...I keep thinking that it's got to get better but usually doesn't.

I have to finish them even if I hate them. Although, I will skim or skip ahead a little just to end the pain of reading a terrible book sooner!

Typically I will put the book down and start a different one. Occasionally I will go back to the first book and try it again.
