Ok not sure how this happened *UPDATED*
but I think I got a BFP!
I took two tests this morning and they both came up with a BFP. (this is why I was asking how accurate the Target brand tests were) I am going to take a digital tomorrow to confirm though because I still do not believe it and am in complete shock. I guess with so many negative tests ive taken in the past I guess I am a skeptic. We have been trying since March.
Anyway how the heck did this happen? I am so irregular I had no idea! I was testing once a week then started doing every other week just in case. (hence the cheapo Target tests)
Sooo no idea how far along I am but my guess would be 4-5 weeks. Only symptoms were I was extra hungry all week, crampy, moody, thirsty and tired...all classic AF signs for me.
So what I did...
acupuncture
drank raspberry tea leaf
monitored cervix and CM.

UPDATE**
Yea so I got a digital and it came up PREGNANT!!!
So I called the dr and the secretaryis telling me that im probably not pregnant since my last cycle was 4/29 and if I were pregnant then I would be 14 weeks along and since I was at the dr in July for a sono and they didnt see a baby then im not. And since my cycle was irregular there is NO WAY of knowing when I conceived so im probably not?????????
However in July they saw that I recently ovulated. I tried to explain to them how I have been testing once a week (except for last week) and all were negative until today...THREE positive tests. Im not on any meds so I dont see how it could be a false positive, but the secretary told me she BELIEVES that false positives exist. So after asking for a nurse she has me coming in next week for a blood test to confirm.
Seriously that secretary made me so upset I started crying like crazy. How could you say im probably not pregnant but we will have you in anyway??? As if I am probably making it up and she wants to prove me wrong???? I am shocked since ive NEVER had a problem with this office before. Thank GOD I am seeing the NP since she always takes the time out to talk to me and calm me down.

And I would mention to ur dr. how rude this person was to you on the phone. Some people have no manners. Was she in bed with you and your husband, how the heck does she know what's going on in ur body, Is she God? Some people anger me!!!
Don't let her get u down! Enjoy it!

I never post here but lurk often. Congrats on your BFP! And as for the secretary, she should keep her opinions to herself. She's not a dr and should shut her mouth.

ITA...I think you should say something to the NP or Dr and explain how upset she got you. That is completely unprofessional of her to pass her "opinion" to you over the phone when she has no place to be doing so.

First -Congrats on the digital They don't lie!!!
Secondly - I would say something to the doctor regarding her behavior. It is not for a recptionist to say one way or another. Good Luck at the Dr and keep us posted.

As for that woman... she has NO BUSINESS saying a WORD to you other than telling you what day your appointment will be. I'm FUMING that she said such inappropriate things to you!!!!!!!
I had a BFN on CD37 and a negative blood test on CD42... and then got a BFP on CD67 with no AF in between. So according to my LMP, I would've been 12 weeks at my very first appointment, but by measuring the baby (THERE'S A BABY IN THERE DARLING!!!!) they were able to tell that I was exactly 8 weeks along at that point.
They'll be able to tell when you go in and they do the internal sono depending on how far along you are.
Ugh, I'm ready to beat down, I'm so mad for you!!!! That lady should NOT be answering the phone and talking to anyone that way! Who the HE11 does she think she is???

Thanks for all the support girls. I had a cry and called my cousin who is a fellow irregular chick and she calmed me down and told me everything will be ok. Im just trying to relax and keep myself calm because if I get upset that could be horrible for me and my developing baby.
I will keep you all updated when I get the blood done on tues

It still sounds like a BFP to me. . false postives are VERY VERY rare and generally would have read as a positive all along bc nothing changed except that YOU GOT PREGNANT. .and that secretary was totally out of line. . even if that was a possiblity she did NOT handle it well at all. .

wow... i'm sooo sorry for what they said on the phone.
I think the personnel in most doctor offices need to take some etiquette classes!!
i also had some strange and rude comments made when I was pregnant and just trying to make an appointment. rude things regarding miscarriages. UM hello... NO PREGNANT WOMAN WANTS TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT!!! yes we know bad things are possible and all that... but why do you feel it necessary to throw those types of words around???? UGH!! SO NOT YOUR PLACE TO DO SO SO STFU!!!

There's nothing you can do about it all now... just relax and go to the appt. If it will make you feel better... take another test tomorrow or the following day. Even if you did get a false positive (which I know people say is impossible) it's DEF not going to be a false positive on MULTIPLE tests and MULTIPLE days. Not unless you were taking some sort of meds that give you hcg.
also, there is a girl who is pregnant and on the preggo boards who has an irregular cycle... and she got pregnant around the cd65 mark!! so it def is possible!!!

So I took another digital and it said PREGNANT again! So far ive taken 2 cheapy Target brand and 2 EPT digital and they all say pregnant. Im not on any medication so that couldnt give me a false positive.
It seems as though secretaries think they know everything because they work with the dr and feel that since they have "seen it all they know all." I mean this is a very emotional and scary time and the last thing that a secretary should do is pisss off a hormonally scared newly preggo! Im sorry you got those comments! So not fair
