The dreaded Coxsakie has hit our home, the baby has it

We just got back from vacation yesterday. Tyler who is never ever fussy or upset was burning up on the airplane home. Could not fall asleep last night. Was totally inconsolable. Turns out he has coxsakie and an ear infection.

Jack also has an ear infection and a horrible cough.

Any tips to make him more comfortable with the coxsakie?

Re: The dreaded Coxsakie has hit our home, the baby has it

I gave tylenol to lower the fever and relieve pain. She also had diarrhea when she had coxsackie so the doc said BRAT diet (bananas, rice, apples, toast). But since her throat was raw I gave her more liquid those days, pureed her bananas and apples very thin and kept them cold to help them go down easier.

It totally suckked but was over 2 days later.Chat Icon

poor baby, Alex just had it and it was awful for him, the blisters wound up getting infected. We gave him motrin for the pain.

Oh no...Nothing you can do but give them some pain reliever...oh, and bottle of wine for you.

PS...I use Clorox wipes to wipe down all the toys to stop the spread.

NO fun! DS had it a couple months ago...
Lots of lfuids and motrin. If he's having a hard time drinking, try the pedialyte ice pops....they were the only things my DS would take....

Hope everyone is better soon!
