Please tell me...
it is going to get better! My twins are two weeks old and I am so stressed and emotional. DS has terrible reflux and is up all night long (we just got Zantac today, so I am praying it works!) and DD is now starting to have similar issues. DH goes back to work next week and I am scared to death about doing this alone. I just need some BTDT moms to give me some confidence and let me know there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Re: Please tell me...
IT WILL GET BETTER!!! I swear....i was there. Up all night wondering how I was going to get through the days.
My kids both had reflux, so every feeding was a huge production. Feed them, burp them, change clothes because they would usually spit up, sit them up in boppy for awhile so they wouldn't spit up more, go to sleep and repeat. I could never feed them both at once or prop bottles because they spit up so much.
The first 4-5 weeks were the hardest. I look back now and its like a blur or feeding/changing babies.
It gets better!!!! I promise! And you will look back in a few months and wonder how the time went so fast.

Re: Please tell me...
Oh GOD YES it gets better! That sounds like me 10 months ago. My one DD used to wake up screaming from reflux and would only sleep if she was laying on me!
Just when you think it can't get worse it just gets better almost over night!
And you will be missing those times when they were that little...I know I do.

Re: Please tell me...
It WILL get better! My DS cried for the first four months of his life, and we never even had a reason why - just colic. He stopped at four months and is now a sweet little boy with a wonderful personality. You will get into a routine, and everything will fall into place. Those first few weeks are just so hard!! But now I look back on it and it seems like it was barely even the blink of an eye.

My girls are 9 weeks and I agree with all the above posts!! There will be days you feel like DonnaReed and then there are days that you feel likeits ground hog day. Just try to be in the moment and realize that it all goes so fast and that there is a reason you were blessed with twins.

Re: Please tell me...
Thanks so much, ladies! We have started on Zantac, which has helped a bit, but I think they will have to increase his dose. I am so glad to hear that you all got through it in one piece....that will help keep me going!

Re: Please tell me...
It does get better! For the 1st 2 or so months, they were still eating every 3 hours. FINALLY, they are now sleeping from 8pm - 3pm!!!!!
I'm not sure if u r BF'ing. I didn't so I was able to bottle feed them at the same time. It cut down on how much time it took to feed them both (especially at night).
Hang in there...... I'm glad that the Zantac is helping though!

Re: Please tell me...
Totally gets better. Actually mine are almost 11 months and I MISS the NB days!! They slept so much then, even if it doesnt seem that way.
The first few weeks are a literal BLUR....but once you get a routine going, by 3 months you will forget all about these stressful days ( sleep deprivation does that to you...lol) ...
hang in there.
We all know, and mean it..it gets better

I am actually pumping and supplementing with formula, so I did juyst start bottle feeding at the same time. It still takes a while (DS is a slooooow eater), but it's much better! They have been sleeping for 3 hours at a time during the night, so I think they are starting to get on a schedule. I am also starting to get used to being exhausted all the time Thanks again for all of the comments....people who haven't been through it just can't understand
