Sub question
For those who have subbed in districts where they have the computerized system, how does that work? Do you just sign up on the computer for the job and opt out of getting called in the mornings? TIA!

Re: Sub question
Have you been approved by the district? You can definitely change what time you get or don't get phone calls.

Re: Sub question
I haven't even inquired in any districts yet... it's a weird, very long story....

Re: Sub question
The mainly use the computer system except when they are in a jam in the morning but I wasn't able to "opt out" of phone calls but I very rarely got them. I signed up for days online 95% of the time.

Re: Sub question
In my SD, per diem subs are hired and approved by the board first (when I was subbing, I was approved first too)
Aesop definitely allows you to choose times to be called. I was subbing while doing my internship, so I only subbed when one of the teachers in my area were out. I made it so I didn't get called in the morning and then eventually so I never got called (either the secretary would enter me in or the teacher would call me and we would both be online while she put in for the day and I would pick it up)
