EWCM and OPK..

Okay ladies, so I had my period on August 24th. I started using the ovulation sticks and I've been using them twice a day. I have yet to get a positive. Based on the mymonthlycycle.com chart etc. If I have a luteal phase (which I"m not sure how long it is) of 14 days. I should have had my most fertile day and be ovulating yesterday. yesterday morning-afternoon.. I had a great deal of CM and I believe it was EW- still iffy on this all. I have a cold and I was taking robitussin, so I think that increased the cm. Anyway, my husband and i BD last night, but I never received a positive on the OPK. If my luteal phase is longer it says that I'm still fertile for the next few days, but I'm so confused about when I'm going to ovulate. I have been off the pill since July 24 and got my period on the 24 of August. I'm supposed to get my next period around the 21 if it's regular. I've been checking for ovulation twice a day- afternoon and night. Do you think I should go to the dr since the opk's aren't picking up ovulation? Any other ideas?

You could be Oing late. I didn't think OPKs were working when I first used them b/c I thought I should O on CD14, but I O'd on CD16. Could just be a late Oer or O'd late due to stress or illness or change in weather pattern for all I know.

Thanks for the advice... Maybe I'm just a late Ovulator.... I hope that's the case. I'm just confused about when to BD then. I don't want to keep BD'ing every night just in case.

I had this same fear last month when using OPK's. Mymonthlycycles said I should O around CD 18, however I did not O until CD 23.

My cycle is on average 31 days. I got AF on August 24th as well (which made that cycle 34 days and only an 11 day luteal phase). Today is CD 16 and I also received a negative OPK. I have a feeling I wont get a smiley for another 5 days or so. Im just a late O'er I guess.

Dont get discouraged. Im sure you too will get your smiley just a little later than you though.

Thanks so much. I'm new to this whole thing and it's so confusing! I never thought trying to have a baby was so difficult!
