We've brought Abby to Music Together, The Little Gym and this summer she is in Saf-T-Swim. She had been in day care up until about a week ago but I pulled her out during my maternity leave for financial reasons. She is going back in December. She was VERY well socialized in day care.

My local library has classes divided by age and then he's also starting a Mommy & me program called Stepping Stones..it's basically mommy & me with a little more structured activities. I'd also like to enroll him in Music Together but I'll see what the budget allows.

17m DS goes to Gymboree, Music for Aardvarks and a Music/Storytelling class.

I plan to enroll him in a pre-preschool toddler type class starting in September. They prepare you for preschool.

I just put ds in preschool for 2 days a week. So far so good. We also do the library classes and open plays on off days.

We did Music Together at 18 months. I loved it, DS not so much. Then we did a place called TmbleBugs that he really enjoyed at 24 months.

“Rockin’ Musical Tots” with Darlene Graham (as seen on Sesame Street)
This unique music program was created by Darlene to offer a live musician that captivates little ears and stimulates brain activity unlike any CD. The 45 minute hands on music class incorporates live music, instruments and movement to help young children explore their feelings, emotions, and bodies. This musical adventure takes you and your child into a magical place where you can sing together, explore instruments, dance with scarves, parachute play, play along with favorite musical stories, enjoy a puppet show, dance and bounce around the room, and yes even catch musical bubbles. Not only does this class offer musical exploration but it also develops fine motor skills, age appropriate language and sight word recognition, shape and color recognition, counting, as well as developing auditory skills. Each class will keep you and your child rap-tap-tappin’!

I did Music Together with DD 3 times, and now have her enrolled at My Gym.

She is also in daycare 2 days per week.

Also, now that I will be staying home, I've joined a local Mom's group and hope to get into a weekly playgroup with kids her age.

$350!!!! I went to the program she did at my church and it was less than 1/2 of that price. She was great, but now that DS is more active, we are going to try My Gym

I checked the prices and you are absolutely correct! So I called Darlene directly because she is my 2nd cousin to find out what the deal was... She explained to me that she was donating her time to help the church. Unfortunately, she doesn't think she will be able to teach there this year, but she loved teaching that class!
