ISO Pediatrician - Mineola / New Hyde Park /Franklin Square / Garden City area

My son had a reaction from the MMR shot which his "new" doctor dismissed. We need to find him a new pediatrician right away.

I am hoping that we can find one who is more open minded and up to date on current issues. Someone who is available and will return calls (we had problems with return calls from his first doctor). Also, I hope that there is a doctor out there who has a bit of a holistic bent / isn't quick to administer medication for every little thing.

just an update. we "found" a fantastic pediatrician in Mineola who, although didn't agree with my thoughts on the MMR situation, I still love.

She respects different philosophies, explains things in detail, doesn't rush you out the door and reeeally listens to you / your concerns / thoughts. She returns your phone calls / emails. She's even having a wellness day with speakers - i believe this Sunday. Highly recommend.
