Any experience? Intergrated preschool...

I am good friends with a guidance counselor at a terrific elem school.
Our boys are same age.
She wants to try out an intergrated preschool at her school.
8 kids. 1 certified teacher, 2 assistants.
5 days a week, 8-2.
kids are taken out throughout the day for speech or whatever.
The boys would be peep pals.
I really like that teacher/kid ratio.
Due to asthma...I love that there would be 3 adults in the room to listen for his symptoms.

At the park last night, she had an intervention with me. He talks so much and is so ready for more. That 5 days a week would be great for him...def not too much.

My sister is a sub. She has sat in a few classes. One kid bit the hell out of another. This has dh thinking I am crazy. We actually know the biter...he is a tough kid who has had a very hard year. (his mother died in her sleep and he was alone with her all day long that day until his dad(divorced) was worried no one was answering phone. So I feel this is very isolated.

I am cost driven as well. 80.00 a month. that is insane!!

I love all integrated programs. I feel they are a great situation for "identified" as well as "typical" kids. I would have loved for my kids to have gone to integrated preschool, but I just couldn't work it out.

I have no experience with it myself, but if a situation like that was offered to me, I would totally jump on it. It sounds wonderful
