primary care dr in stony brook?
can anyone recommend a good primary care physician in stony brook please? are there any in that medical park on nesconset highway where RS of NY is? (dr san roman is in there)

Our PCP's are in that park, Dr. Monetti is one of them. We're not that impressed with their office. Always long wait times, abrupt staff, we've seen a bunch of doctors and the patient care wasn't great. (DH has a condition where he has to go in every six months)
I'm eager to see responses because we're looking to make a change also.

Really I never have had a problem when I go? I have been seeing Dr. White there since I was 4 years old. So 25 years now...lol..I love him! and I have never waited longer than 20 mins max. Anyway I think Dr. White is worth checking out. He never makes me feel rushed and explains everthing to me.

thanks for the replies! i found a dr in setauket.. dr. ng. anyone familiar with that dr? i have an appt this wednesday so i will update with my experience. :)

I have heard of Dr. Ng but don't know anything specific about him/her. I would love to know how to pronounce that name though!
I am also looking for a PCP in the SB area. Let us know how it goes.

the receptionist pronounced it like " ing ".

Maybe you have to be a 25-year patient to get that kind of treatment.  I don't know why you have great experiences and we don't. DH waited an hour last time, for a scheduled blood test that he had to fast for. He was already cranky from not eating too. 
I'm not sure if it was Dr. White or not but I felt like I was annoying them the last time I went in for a well visit and I asked about my cholesterol and was told I didn't need a test. I'm 38 with a history of heart attacks in my family. It didn't sit well.

well i went to my appt with dr. ng and he seems really nice! the receptionist was very nice too. so far, so good..
