Can anyone recommend a good obgyn in oceanside/ rvc area?
Hi-
Can anyone recommend a good obgyn in the oceanside / rvc Merrick, Baldwin, East Rockaway area?
I am looking for someone with an individual practice. So, if I make an appointment with them I get them and not some random doctor in the practice.
I have one son, had a miscarriage in March and I pretty sure in the process of and early second. I'm 38. I didn't care for my obgyn during my healthy pregnancy so I hesitate consulting with him on ttc issues.
I don't want to rush into anything but in January it will be 2 years we are trying and I was reading on other boards to head right to a specialist. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to everyone.

I also go to Dr. Blinderman. Even since I've moved to Westchester, I've stayed with her. I like her and it's worth the drive 1x/year. Of course, I'll need an OB - but, I do have to get pregnant first! I was always "fine" with her - nothing special - but then again everything was always routine. When I started to suspect that we were having some fertility issues, she was amazing. She was extremely supportive, honest, and took her time with me. When I began looking for RE's, she let me fax a list from my insurance, and marked off dr's she knew. As it turns out, I didn't go with any of those, but that's more b/c of location and insurance issues. The only problem I've had with them recently was that I had asked them to fax me my latest bloodwork, etc. for my RE appt and they were not very nice about it b/c they had already sent the info to my internist (at my request). I'm chalking it up to the nurse having had a bad day or some miscommunication/ misunderstanding. Who knows - maybe the nurse was just being obnoxious for no reason. But, other than that - I definitely recommend her. And, you always get her when you schedule and appt with her. Good luck.

I second Dr. Blinderman! i've been going to her for about 3 years and always get a good vibe from her. She's friendly and the staff there is always very nice.
I believe the address is 165 N. Village Ave - its just up the street from the HomeGoods in RVC
