So freaking mad re: nursery letters!! *Update
I am so upset right now I could cry..
I ordered letters for the nursery on Etsy in August... at the time I was only supposed to pay a deposit but the woman billed me for the full amount. I asked her about this and she said it was a mistake.. but if I wanted I could pay the full amount.. so I did.. figuring WHY NOT.. why have to worry about paying it later.
October is here and I still don't have my letters so I go on to Etsy and find out that she closed and filed for bankrupcy!!!!! Looks like I am out $80 and don't have letters for his room 
Does anyone know if there is anyway I can get my money back through Etsy? Can anyone suggest another place for nursery letters (if I decide to even order more)  Its been such a bad day

did you use a credit card? You can have them do a charge back - just explain that you never got what you ordered and they will do a chargeback and open an investigation.

Did you pay through Paypal? I'd contact them first because they offer buyer protection.

I did pay through pay pal. I will call them now.
ETA: Its been more than 45 days I don't know if I can do anything about this now.

Paid with my debit card..called my bank and they said there is nothing they can do.
I am just really upset with the way it all went down, I think she scammed me from the start and I am just upset with myself... and as silly as this sounds I designed the whole room around the design of these stupid letters. UGH
I just want to get new ones and don't know where to look. I don't trust Etsy anymore

if you used a credit card through paypal - you can still do a chargeback through the credit card company
most credit card companies will go back up to 6 months

Ugh, I am so angry for you. Did you try to call paypal and let them know? Maybe there is a way around the time limit because of the situation.

did you contact Etsy also to file a complaint?
I had a similar problem through ebay and ebay actually gave me my money back - they didnt want to loose me as an ebay customer

Oh no Jen!! Im so sorry I dont have any advice on how to get your money back but wanted to recommend Valerie from Do Me A Favor. She's a vendor on here and also an active poster!  She did the letters for my stepson and the baby and they came out great!! You can come over and see them anytime. So sorry this happened

I wasn't speaking with someone in the claims department I guess... I dunno lol. But I finally spoke with a man with a very thick southern accent and he was "more than happy" to file a claim for me

I already emailed her  Thanks! I am considering making them myself with the help of DH (he went to school for art after all!) so I will see. I am over it now, was just really upset about it before bc I was anxiously waiting for them and so excited.

Not sure why I decided to check my bank account at 1:33am (can never sleep lol) but I just did and I have already been refunded the full amount.

Now on to my letter search once again!
