My SIL is preggo
She didn't want to say anything before my wedding.
I knew it. I picked up a LOT of clues. I just knew it. This is her third.
So I get that she didn't want to take away MY day so she waited to tell people after the wedding.
She waited a WHOLE 12 HOURS before she started telling people the next day at brunch
Definitelt expected it. Was actually surprised she gave me my one time to shine

Re: My SIL is preggo
Why couldn't she tell people the next day?? It was probably convenient since the whole family was together...and the wedding was over. I wouldn't have minded.

I agree and would even take it a step farther -- Why couldn't she tell people the day before or the day of? I would actually feel bad that she felt she had to hold the news in at all.
My SIL and brother announced they were expecting their second the day before my wedding -- the day of my rehearsal dinner. It didn't even come close to detracting from my day and they told all the people they didn't see at the RD at the wedding. It wasn't a big deal at all. I was thrilled for them and they were thrilled for me. There was no thunder stealing involved at all, nor that thought even cross my mind at that time. There is always more than enough love and happiness to go around.
I think it was rather considerate of her to wait until the day after -- but I don't think she even needed to wait that long.
