ugh... vent

part of the reason dh and i decided to move to our town/street is bc it's very family friendly, great schools, lots of kids around, etc. but omg do the kids on the block annoy the shitttt out of me we want kids some day (in like 6 years-ish) but ugh these kids make me never want to have any

There's a little girl on my block who ALWAYS asks to come inside and see the cats. I let her come in and see them (her parents are friends with DH) once in a blue moon. Like, been there since June and she has been allowed in three times. But she asks almost every. single. day.

Then the other day we ordered pizza and she and two other brats on the block were UP ON THE STEPS WHILE I WAS TRYING TO PAY THE DELIVERY CHICK and I was just like "GO AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"

Cleaning the garage this past weekend, they stood at the edge of the driveway, yelling back at us "what are you doing what are you doing what are you doing????" and we just ignored them.

Oh, and the kid next door to us ALWAYS throws his toys over the fence for attention. I used to leave them on the front stoop for him and spoke with his mom about it twice...he still does it...that sh!t goes in the trash now. PITA kid.

I'm trying to get the kids on the block to not like me, but it's not working.

We don't want kids, and I especially don't like them...I don't know why they come around.

Halloween is coming up and I think I'm going to give out raisins to the kids from the block...everyone else gets real candy since they don't come around and bother me.

I used to live on a block like that - the kids were always in the street. It seemed like they made a game of how close can we stand to your moving vehicle without getting hurt. One day, one of them made stabbing motions to my sister when she was driving up the block. They were awful.

I totally know what you mean! The kids on my block are awful.... they hang out in PACKS... dozens of pre-teens... they are SO LOUD & if you're driving down the street, they don't look before crossing (usually while texting!) & glare at you when you try to avoid hitting them. They also litter their garbage all over the street (plastic cups, food wrappers) It's the one thing I love about the cold weather.... the kids stay inside!!!

I love my neighbor kids. They're little though-7 months to 4 years, and then 1 ten year old extortionist.

She tries to sell crap to people all the time. My mom actually gave her $5 for a singular plastic bead on a string & she tried to sell a piece of jewelery she made from a jewelery kit to the neighbor who bought the kit for her.

I've got one of those. His name is Michael. Never met the kid, I only know this because of his mother SCREAMING his name and him SCREAMING back at her. When he wants to piss her off, he gets in their car and honks the horn endlessly.

There's some weird acoustic thing around my block and seriously, you can hear things you're not supposed to hear inside people's houses. So when someone yells, *everyone* hears it.

I'm glad to say that besides the two of them, all of the other children (and parents) around are great, friendly, and quiet.

Give out tooth brushes instead of raisins, they will definitely hate you.
