Which is better? Im in the process of finalizing my registry and have heard mixed things. Any recommendations?

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I've used both and didn't find any problems or issues with either.
I had Dr. Brown's with my son but had to throw them all out because they were 4 years old and not BPA free.
The only reason why I used born free this time is because I had a free sample from BBB and my son, who was having issues with playtex drop ins, was ok using it so I bought more of them.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I used Dr Brown's and they are fine, never used Born Free so I can't really compare. They do have a lot of parts, but lately I have just been putting them in the dishwasher and it is much easier than hand washing them.

Never used Dr. Brown's but Born Free is great. You are going to have to see what works best for you and you DC.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I EBF but have needed to give bottles on occasion. DS did not like Dr. Brown's at all! I had a Born Free bottle that BBB had given as a gift when I registered and had much better luck with that one. That being said, every baby is different. I have 2 close girlfriends who use Dr. Brown's and love them--one BF and one didn't.
A word of advice--if you're registering, I wouldn't register for a whole bottle set but would get individual bottles and test them out to see which DC likes. Good luck!

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
My SIL actually suggested the Born Free glass bottles since she has heard a lot about bacteria problems with the Dr. Browns. But glass is probably heavier and obviously breakable! I think Ill register for a few of each, I was surprised at how expensive bottled are.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I've only used Dr. Browns and I have been very happy with them. I wash them in the dishwasher and use the Dr. B accessory basket for the parts.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I have both and my DD hates the Dr. browns but loves born free. She smooshes her face up against the bottle and prefers the soft silcone of the born free to the hard plastic of the Dr. Browns. Both have 2 extra "venting" pieces to clean besides the nipple and bottle itself. I have botth glass and plastic.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
we use Dr Brown's and sometimes Ventaire - I tried the free Born Free one I got from BBB and I don't know how DD felt but I hated it - it took her FOREVER to eat - and she was still on Level 1 on Dr. Brown's then. also, I found it to be leaky.

I used Dr Brown's bottles.
IMO they are the best, and I felt a connection to my baby through Dr. Brown. It was like no other feeling in the world.

Re: Born Free v Dr Brown Bottles
I had everything Dr.Brown's, but used Born Free as soon as we got home from the hospital. I didn't mind the actual bottle, dd didn't like the nipple on the Dr. Browns, and she is grea with the Born Free! I love the born free bottles, but honestly, the nipple is more important!
