I'm also not a newlywed (3 years!) but I hung mine in my closet upside down to dry; it got sandwiched a bit between clothes so it got a little flattened but dried nicely! I now have it in a vase on a desk in the living room and I love it!

i did that too but i didnt put it inbetween clothes... it looked like crap when i got home so i just threw it out... Gerberas dont dry very nicely...
