A small positive in this awful week!
So as I told you ladies before, my diabetes has been exacerbated by the pregnancy, and my sugar levels were too high for safe development for the baby.
I started insulin injections last night, I must give myself 4 injections a day.
The doctor eventually wants my numbers to be no more than 120, 2 hours after meals. Considering that my numbers would be in a range of 300-380 after eating, this would be a dramatic drop.
Today, 2 hours after breakfast I tested my glucose, and it was 128. While that is still higher than he wants, to have such a dramatic drop is huge. This means if this pregnancy remains viable, I do have a good chance of staying where I need to be to make it to the end.
This feels like a big achievement that can help me along while I wait for the next week.
