Re: are any of the hubbies reading

My hubster bought a book and let me tell you its making a really great coaster! Chat Icon

but I have to give him credit, he reads the weekly updates on babycenter.com (i dont even do that) and he will tell me what to expect for this week Chat Icon It's pretty cute.

I have that pregnancy by week book, I dont read it often but when I do pick it up and see a "dad tip" in there that I think he should see I will rip it out and leave it somewhere for him to see. Just the other day when i was cleaning I found all of them in his nightstand..Chat Icon Chat Icon Hes funny

I read stuff out loud to him. He'll even mute the TV when it's time for reading! I read excerpts from What to Expect and Your Pregnancy Week by Week. He is very attentive. But he is not reading himself.

He doesn't have any books yet but he has 3 apps on his phone - what to expect, baby bump, and the pampers one.

My hubby makes me to forward him my weekly babycenter emails. He thinks he's learning everything he needs to know from them. Chat Icon Chat Icon It's cute though because he won't delete them. He has every single one since 4 weeks.

When I'm reading my Week by Week book, I'll read the "Dad Tip" but it's often something he already does.

Re: are any of the hubbies reading

Kevin is a BTDT dad so he's not as clueless as I am!! He picks up my copy of What To Expect if there's something specific he wants to read up on and he reads the BabyCenter emails too. Plus he's on here, so I guess reading the PG board can count!

Re: are any of the hubbies reading

DH and I went to Barnes & Noble the other day because he wanted to choose which book to get. I didn't want to pressure him to read one (because he wouldn't if I 'made' him) but he said the other day he wanted to get one.

This is what he chose:

He likes it because it's like reading a manual, he said. Chat Icon He read the first chapter the other night and then told me what he learned... and asked me when we'll buy "essentials" -- I told him after the shower. He asked me if I registered for diapers. Chat Icon It was cute.

Re: are any of the hubbies reading

DH didn't read any book in particular. When I was pregnant with DS if I was reading and found something interesting I'd read it to him. That was the extent of it for him.

DH bought "Be Prepared: A Practical Handbook for New Dads" off of Amazon. It's a funny "guy" book but also has great information. He also peruses WTE and The Pregnancy Journal
