WAHM
Does anyone know how to get into babysitting? I am a SAHM of 2 1/2 y/o twins and a 1 y/o. My house is a toy factory. My children love playing with other kids, so I thought babysitting a child would be perfect for them and myself in order to help financially around here. Besides craigslist, which is packed with people like me, where could I find someone in need of a babysitter? Does anyone know anyone looking for help? Part time, full time, whatever they need - I'm always home anyway. I'm in Farmingdale.

There are a couple of websites that I'm familiar with: sittercity and Nannies4Hire. I think those are geared more towards a babysitter going TO someone's home rather than them COMING to yours, but it's worth looking! You should try craigslist too, even though there's tons of people, they're not all from the same area and you might be able to find something there.

I would think word of mouth would be the best way to go.
Maybe also put up a flyer in a church, grocery store or places busy moms hang out in general.
