How much milk per day for 14 month old boy?

Hi, just wondering if there is a guideline as to how much milk a child of this age should have every day? I have been giving my son 4-5 8oz bottles of milk per day. He eats fine but I think that may be too much milk? Maybe I should try only 3 bottles a day? My pediatrician never mentioned anything to me about lowering the amount of milk I give him but everyone I talk to says it is too much. Any advice is appreciated.

That seems like a lot. At this age they are supposed to be getting most of their food intake and nutrition from table food, not milk.

My DS is 13 mo. and drinks 3 - 10 oz. bottles a day and that is a lot. He gets a bottle before his morning nap, bottle before his afternoon nap and bottled at bed time.

Have you started sippy cups yet? I am going to start transitioning off the bottle completely.

My 16 month old daughter has 6-7oz of milk when she wakes up and the same after dinner plus whatever milk they give her at daycare.

At DD's 1 yr appointment the ped said no more than 20 oz/day of milk. DD is 14.5 months and gets 3 bottles with about 6-7 oz in each.

DS is just about 15m, but has been on cups only since 11.5m - he drinks 3 sippy cups (6-9 oz per cup) of milk and 2 cups of water every day.

Thanks. Yes, he has started sippy cups but has a hard time getting the liquid out. I tried to put him down for a nap yesterday with the only the sippy cup but he screamed until I gave him a bottle. I really had no clue I was giving him too much milk and I feel terrible.

at 1 year visit - ped recommended 16oz of dairy - so don;t forget to include cheese and yougart in your total

3-4 7oz bottles a day. DS is 14 months, won't drink juice or water.

my son is also 14 months and he drinks about 3- 8 oz bottles a day, one when he wakes up, one when he goes down for a nap and then one at bedtime...he drinks juice and water from sippy comes most of the day

DS drinks about 12 oz of milk total per day but he also has yogurt and cheese most days.
