Writing Sample
I am going on an interview next Monday and they are asking for a writing sample. The truth is that I have not "written" in a long time (papers while doing my Master's degree is the last time I can think of. Plus when I was working at one specific job I did a program guide for the program I worked on, but I don't have it!). We do write grant proposals where I work and I "assist" in them but then are not all of my own writing. I have access to them, should I just use it? I also correspond in email and write business letters sometimes. That's about it! What to bring?

Re: Writing Sample
proposals are kind of technical writing....hmm...
what position is it for?
i wonder if you can whip up a mock press-release or something.

It's a non-manegerial position for a health department (implementing implementing a public health program). Writing is not really in the job description so I don't know what they want. The person I'm interviewing with contacted me by email, should I ask her specifically what she wants me to bring?
