orthopedic surgeons? Knee specialist?
Hi! anyone know a great orthopedic surgeon? a specialist foor the knees?
A second opinon is needed for a difficult situation to fix.

My sister went to The Hospital for Special Surgery for her knee, but I don't know who she used. I'll ask her tomorrow.

Dr Anthony Finuoli of Smithtown is FANTASTIC. My DH saw him when his hand had a run in with an operating table saw and he managed to save his thumb and put the rest of it back together. Then when DS broke his leg and believe it or not, I couldnt find a pedi ortho (he was only 18 mos) that would see him so he didnt have to have an untreated broken leg for days (the ER missed it). I finally, as a last resort trying to find a DR to help him, I called his office in tears and even though they dont treat ped cases he felt SO bad and took my DS in right away and saw him through his entire treatment. They really went above and beyond for him out of the goodness of their heart.

Doesnt it matter what part of the body it is? I mean i wouldnt want someone replacing my hip that didnt do that 100% of the time

yes it matters for the most part. It is a knee specialist . I kind of phrased it wrong. I kind of ment I will take a genral ortho name if they are awesome but its really for a second opinion so i really should just get knee specialists name. thnk u for pointing this out i am going to edit.

I would google the hospitla for special surgery and you can do a search for a specific specialty. We had DS surgery done there and it was an amazing experience. Also DH went there. We used Dr. Scher - he is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!

I use Dr Price @Orlin & Cohen. I love him and couldn't be happier! He did my knee surgery this past March (acl reconstruction) and I couldn't be happier. He's the 4th surgeon I saw. If you have any questions just ask. He has an office in RVC and Merrick.
