we are 95 percent sure that.....

our little man's name will be CARTER-- we are getting mixed reviews but hey it is our baby and we like it... it has been difficult having me and dh agree....

That is a great name!

Don't worry about other people, that is why we didn't tell anyone DSs name until he was born - even then when we told me Mom we named him Wilson she yelled "Wiiiiiiillllsoooooon" (from Castaway) and then said "so, what did you really name him?"

i love the name ....don't worry what other people think...everyone has very different opinions on names...as long and you and dh like it, then that is all that matters

My DH and I were in the same boat-we couldn't agree on anything, we finally found our DS name, have let it simmer for a month-both agreeing we don't like anything better... and we're sticking to it too!

Isn't it such a relief?


ETA: Don't worry about other people's opinon's...we've told our closest friends and family what DS' name will be-but we start with "If you don't like it, I don't want to hear your opinion of it, it's taken us a lot of aggravation to get to this point. We love it and that's what matters". Works like a charm
Your family and friends will love the baby and his name when he comes. Regardless of what their opinion is early on.

Great choice.
That is the reason we never share our baby names ahead of times. I don't want to hear anyone's opinions. It's not your baby so SHUT IT!

People get so caught up on what others name their kids it is ridiculous. If asked what I think, I'll give an opinion, but otherwise I keep out of it...I think as long as you aren't naming your kid anything crazy like Boi, Blanket, or Pilot Inspektor, it is up to you what to call your child.

I get a lot of kickback on the middle name I chose, Ryker, everyone is like why would you name your kid after a prison? First off, it is spelled differently. Second off, only in NY does anyone think of Riker's Island. Third, it is actually from Star Trek (I found this out AFTER I fell in love with the name , my kid will be nerdy enough with me/DH as parents - I already am trying to plant the seed with DH of dressing the baby up as Harry Potter next Halloween).

Love it! It's your child and if you love the name that's all that matters. With my first DS when we told my MIL that we were going to name him Spencer she came flat out and said she didn't like it. I was told that I should have two names just in case he didn't come out looking like a Spencer. Guess What?? His name is Spencer!!!!!
