Salary Differential and CLEP Tests

Assuming that the CLEP test doesn't overlap with courses you took in college can I count any of the other tests towards my +30 differential? For example, I am a second grade special ed. teacher. Could I take American Literature, and English Literature and have them count toward my differential?

yes as long as what you said is true. you can never have taken any class on your college transcripts that have the same name. also, i believe that clep test credits only work for nyc teachers. if you ever transfer to a li school, they will not count, depending on the district i think..
