Need Rental Help, Come In PLEASE...

We want to move to a rental apartment/condo somehwere in these towns preferably:Hauppauge, Commack, Dix Hills, Melville, or Plainview. We can spend up to 2,500 TOPS:) We are considering Avalon in Melville but need/want more suggestions. We cannot afford a downpayment to buy a home and want something that is really nice and in a great school district. My husband works in Melville, and I work in Queens. But...we want these area to be close to family:)

Does anyone know of any nice, classy type communites in these areas or near them and near highways where a two bedroom/two bathroom doesn't run more then 2,500??

Someone just mentioned to me that they THINK that The Villages West in Melville also rents but I didn't think so.

Any and all info/input would be helpful. We DO NOT want a GARDEN APARTMENT:)

Avalon is by far your nicest apartment community for rentals. Fairfield has some places in Commack, but there more along the lines of garden apartments. The Villages are not rentals but you may find an owner who is renting out their home. We definitely lack apartment communities in the area. Hope that helps.

Look at Fairfield too...they have some more upscale locations. I live in Fairfield MI and I have no complaints.
