anyone cruised Norwegian- Dawn or Spirit

I'm trying to convince DH that we should go on another cruise. We could go on the Dawn (7 days) in a low level ocean view for $1485, or we can go on the Spirit (6 days) in a high level ocean view for $1365 or a low level balcony for $1511.
Money is definitely an issue- it's why DH is reluctant to go. So what would you suggest? If we went with the Spirit, the bigger question is whether or not to spend the extra money on the balcony or use that money on the trip.

Find out how old the Spirit is, I was once on an old ship and it was a nightmare. I was on the Dawn and it was great. Also, call AAA if u r a member they give good rates. We just booked the Norweign Sun for February week and got a great deal thru them. If u want I will give u the name of the person we used at AAA in Garden City, he was very efficient. Just FM mail me. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip. We actually wound up booking the Spirit. It is an older ship, but it's been refurbished and from the reviews I've seen on cruisecritic, it's pretty nice. We wound up going for the balcony, so that should be nice.
