We're home!
Hey girls! Our first night home went as expected! Lots of crying, changing and lack of sleep! ha ha! Since I'm nursing, it's to be expected that I'll be up every 2 hours! It really wasn't so bad! Daddy has been great with his princess and we're adjusting! I'm tired but so elated. I won't lie, it has been an emotional rollercoaster and I could cry at the drop of a hat; I can't believe she was in my belly and that now she's in my arms.
She had her first doc visit today and did great! Gained back some weight as my milk comes in--so nursing is going well. I'm in some pain from the section, but nothing too bad. For anyone wondering, Huntington Hospital was awesome--we had such good care and lots of learning. Much love to all and hope you're all doing well. xoxo Image Attachment(s):

Welcome home!!! I remember my first night home with DS was a total disaster  If any of us (DS, DH, or myself) slept 15 minutes at a time it was a shocker.
Hang in there, it will get better!

Awh.. congratulations!!!
Like the others said... it gets better.
By the 6th week of BFing w/ my DD every 2 hours- I couldn't take it. I started to supplement w/ formula right at bedtime for a good 3 hour stretch! LOL You'll all figure out what's works for you guys.

he's adjusting....he wants to lick and kiss her but he also wants to jump on her; and the paws and all scare me so we are slowly introducing them. he's a bit jealous so when she naps i come and cuddle him. only issue is that if he hears her cry during the night--he friggin starts crying! lol!

Good luck with the nursing...I know how hard BF can be. I EBF for over a year & it does get easier. The first 4 weeks were the hardest. I waited until 4 weeks to inroduce a bottle with pumped BM and then DH helped me with the night feedings. It does get easier and it is so worth it! I got a lot of support with BF on the parenting board. Good luck & congrats again
