Need help with a bulletin board idea (February / March) - kindergarten
I'm at a loss....I'm trying to think of something with writing. I was thinking of doing a math / writing with number stories, but not sure. We are having a peer review in March and our principal is going nuts over this...any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Need help with a bulletin board idea (February / March) - kindergarten
I did this with third graders, but I'm sure it would work for kindergarteners too. I used different foam shapes with adhesive backs and had them make number sentences. It was around Halloween, so I got a whole bunch of Halloween foam shapes and had the kids pick out what they wanted. They would stick the shapes to the paper, add a plus or minus sign between them and an equals sign at the end with the answer. Then they would write a problem. Like, "There were 5 pumpkins in a field. Two witches landed next to them. How many altogether?" They would have two witch foam shapes and five pumpkins next to them. They made up some really cute ones.
Maybe something with Valentine's Day/St. Patrick's Day shapes would work?
