I'm not from NY, but I searched for, "Hotels in Time Square with no bed bugs" and a lot of info came up. One can read customer reviews. Mary

I work in Times Square. The only hotels I'd consider of that list are Hotel 41 (I often go to Bar 41 after work, it seems nice) and The Moderne. The other seem a bit dumpy or I don't know anything about them.
My family stayed at the Wyndham in Midtown West for my wedding, is that a reasonably priced? It is decent too.

The least expensive room for the wyndham is $562 for 2 nights. I'd rather not spend that much but maybe we'll have to think about just staying one night...hmmmmm

Times Square blows for hotels. They really take advantage of you.
But the major ones sometimes run specials.
Marriot Marquis Crowne Plaza Hilton Sheraton
The W is around there too but that is usually very expensive.
Also, if you venture out of the area you could get a better deal.
Do you have to stay in midtown?

I'd definitely be willing to stay outside of times square but not too far because we'll most likely be walking everywhere

I've stayed at the Sheraton New York Towers and the Manhattan at Times Square (formerly the Sheraton Manhattan) and have had good experiences at both.
Try priceline - you may be able to get a good deal!
