do you think cars with all wheel drive are really better in the snow?

yes. my parents live is really hilly and they always had an suv but my dad just got a cadillac w all wheel and it was great in that big snow storm. i have a cross over with it

yes. but even with all wheel drive you still have to drive cautiously in the snow.

Yes, but you need to know how to drive it and need to realize that you can't drive like you would in perfect conditions

yes, but as everyone else has said, it only is better to handle the snowy conditions, it doesn't help when you try to stop in a blizzard doing 50mph.

Yup, DH has a car and got stuck in the blizzard. We have an SUV w/ 4WD that can drive through like 2 feet if need be. We had a AWD and that was ok, but it didnt have the power of the SUV. Not sure if it was b/c it was just a less powerful engine.
ETS: ITA, you WILL slip if you drive like a jerk or even driving cautiously on a sheet of ice. It's just easier to get through snow and gives you a little more traction.
