Moms with dogs

Where do you put the dog's water bowl? Right now we don't let DC in the living room so that's where our dog's water and food bowls live. But we are trying to baby proof in there so they have more space to play. Unfortunately they immediately make a beeline for the water bowl and play in it.

Ours is in the kitchen, DD has access to it, but I'm kind of "on her" to not go in it. But I only have 1, so its probably easier. We used to have that self-refilling water bowl, but now just a regular bowl so sometimes its empty....that has helped too (its not as fun when its empty )

We have ours in the kitchen. DD doesn't really have access to it though.

When RJ was playing in the water bowls we only gave the dogs water when they kinda asked for it. But he loved splashing in there.

Kitchen.. when ds starts walking we will just have to teach him.. not gonna have the dog make a mess somewhere else..

We keep it in the kitchen, but my kitchen is gated off.

Hmm. Thanks. We have kind of an open floor plan so DC have access to the den, kitchen and dining area. Maybe I will try putting her stuff in the laundry room off the kitchen, which I have gated off and she'll just have to learn to "ask" for it by standing there.

DD never really bothered with it. I say leave it out and they get used to it.

We keep ours in the kitchen but have to keep on ds to not play in the water! He is fascinated with water.

i leave my dog's outside and a bowl int he laundry room down stairs - my son loves to play in it

At the moment he only gets water while DD is sleeping. Or I leave it outside.
DD is obsessed with water and obsessed with the dog.

It's in the kitchen...DS had a period of about 2 months where he was obsessed with it, but I just kept telling him no. Now, he doesn't even look at it, he just kind of knows it's off-limits.

Ours is in the wallway outside the kitchen. The baby used to play with it but after a while of us saying no he's moved on.

Mines in the kitchen. I always make sure DD isnt in there alone anyway, so figured it was the best place for it
