ovulating ?
i know this may sound really stupid, but how do you really know when you ovulate? do you have to take a test (or use OPK) to be sure?

Not stupid at all. The only way to truly confirm ovulation is through a progesterone blood test. However, charting can also confirm ovulation if there is a clear thermal shift !
Opks just detect the LH hormone that surges before ovulation. However there are women who get false positives on opks....therefore, charting in conjunction to opks can really help.
