how do you make DC's cereal?
Formula, BM, water or whatever is on hand??

i've used both formula and water. I try not to use water even though its so much easier. My mom saw me using water once and was like "uuuhhh would YOU use water in YOUR cereal??" She made her point

I use a Stage 2 fruit and mix it with 3 tbsp cereal. No liquid needed.

If he has any formula left in his bottle, I'll use that, but most times he sucks it dry, so I use water and add a fruit.

I made him real oatmeal (rolled oats) and added fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg to it while cooking then blended it all, it is delicious and takes less than 5 minutes! I used to add some BM but I can't justify wasting it anymore.

Thank you! I've been using BM but today I used water and fruit b/c I didn't have extra BM in the fridge. He ate with no problem just wasn't sure if it was ok to use water.

Yum! How old is your ds? When did you start adding spices?
He is 8 months now, we started this at 6. I first did the oatmeal plain (just bm) then added one spice at a time to make sure he is not allergic. I add raisins too.
I make 3 cups of oatmeal about once a week and keep it in the fridge so he can have it each morning. After I heat it up I do add a splash of breast milk just to give it a nice consistency. Now I give him pieces of fruit on the side rather than in it. It is really yummy!

I used to use breastmilk but I am running low so now I just mix it with fruit and it doesn't even require any water.

Usually formula because he seems to prefer it. Sometimes BM. Sometimes I'll mix it with a fruit/veggie if I don't have the other 2.
