Jason is getting to long for his infant seat add to that he just hates being in the thing. So we are going to get a new seat.
What kind is recommended?

We have Britax marathon 70. Love it. Plenty of room for ds, super safe and sturdy as hell.

I have this one in my car, love it! We have the britax roundabout in DH's car... great for small cars and DD never complains in that seat.

I have the Britax Advocate 70 CS and LOVE it! I also have a small car, and it fits fine...I actually now have more room then I did with the infant carrier.

Re: convertible carseats recommendations
I'm just going to be lazy and copy and paste my reply from another thread
Ideally, you want to RF them as long as possible, preferably to 2 years old.
For FF after that, you want a seat that has a tall harness top slot AND a higher weight limit to last them longer.
A few to look at:
Graco MyRide 65 Safety 1st Complete Air LX Evenflo Triiumph 65 Britax Roundabout/Marathon/Boulevard/Advocate First Years True Fit Sunshine Kids Radian
New Graco SmartSeat has been getting good reviews from those who've played with it.
