Lamaze, Bradley, Hypnobirthing, etc - Childbirth Ed Rec near Massapequa

Hi All,

I am hoping to have a natural L&D (hopefully w/ no epidural, but certainly want to go w/o a c-sec). I've heard that hospital childbirth ed classes aren't the best b/c they deliver the info w/ a hidden agenda (to keep you in bed & not try to fight with their policies). So, I interviewed a doula & have spoken to various people regarding what class they would suggest to really get the most relaxation info & info on comfort positions to deal w/ labor, how to avoid episiotomy/tearing and c-secs, & how to overally have as comfortable a natural L&D as possible.

Any suggestions for somewhere/someone near Massapequa? Prices?

Has anyone taken the New Baby Belly class? I've read about them, but don't know anyone who took their class.

Alyson, the doula that I spoke with teaches private Lamaze classes in your home. The reason I felt compelled to reply to your post is because she actually live right IN Massapequa.. Talk about ironic.

Celeste Rachell teaches an amazing Bradley class out of her house in Roslyn.

Thanks for the ideas, ladies! I spoke to Vicki yesterday... she seemed very nice. Might call Celeste today. I think I might wind up doing the New Baby Belly class, but am trying to find a few others who've taken that class to hear what they have to say.
