Re: Twins 1st birthday..

We had a party at my parents' house. We had cupcakes instead of a cake. They had no idea what was going on.

Re: Twins 1st birthday..

For their party at White post, they shared a cake. For the at home party I made a cake for each of them.

Re: Twins 1st birthday..

I made 2 small cakes (5 or 6 inch round cake) They loved it and made a mess but it was hysterical. I put them in their highchairs with it and let them go to town! I brought a change of clothes with me for after cake.

I know they don't know at this age, but I will always get separate cakes for them.

Re: Twins 1st birthday..

Wow! I can't believe they are almost a year old. Of course, I can't believe mine ae almost 6 months either, Chat Icon

Anyway, my plan for their one year birthday is to have a bbq at our house (it is in August) with family and a few friends. I want to get two small cakes, so they can dig in and all that fun stuff. Then, I will get cupcakes for everyone else.
That's the plan for now, anyway!

Re: Twins 1st birthday..

We did a football theme, with tailgate-type food. It was a party at our house. I did one cake. I think the adults had a much better time than the kids LOL Chat Icon . Some pictures below.

We had our at a hall. We did a sesame street theme. Every table had each character as the table setting, played sesame street CD and had a sesame street puppet show which was AMAZING.
We did one three tiered cake (made by thesugarchic, a vendor on here) and two smash cakes. The cake was sooooo yummy.

Here is the cake...

Re: Twins 1st birthday..

We had a football/Jets theme for the girls 2nd birthday party. The men said it was the best kids party they ever went to. We also incorporated Dora and Barney, since those were the girls favorite characters (Barney-Carsyn...Dora-Aubrey).

I would also suggest a picture banner. You can get it through etsy.com. They are so cute and the people at the party loved it. It was so nice seeing them from when they were premmies until they were 2.
