Kids room together or seperate? need help
Hi, I have 20 months old daughter and a second baby on the way - another girl. They will be exactly 2yrs apart and I'm not sure what to do with their rooms. Should I put them in one room and use the other bedroom as a play room or should I do 2 separate rooms for them. If I do 2 separate rooms they will be upstairs. If I do one room and a play room their room will be upstairs and the play room will be downstairs where my lr, dn and kitchen is. I will basically switch my bedroom from downstairs to upstairs. Not sure what to do.... Can you tell me from your experience what works better?

I'd do 2 separate rooms for now. You don't want your 2 year old waking up everytime the baby wakes up. When the baby is older then I'd have them share a room.

so basically do 2 seperate rooms for now and then if anything put them together once they get older? or just forget it and do 2 seperate rooms for good?

if you have seperate rooms then do two rooms...
i grew up in a house with 7 people and 3 bedrooms... when i was born i shared a room with my 9 year old brother...
when i got older i moved into a room with my sisters...

My 2 oldest (both boys) are 2 years 10 days apart. They were seperate till my 3rd was born (girl) now they share. They were 2 & 4 when we moved them together.

As someone that had to share a room for about 17 years, put them in their own room. If you have that option, it's so much better for your LOs. Having a space to "get away" is really nice.

I would do separate rooms for now.. with a newborn, you don't want your older child disrupting the baby and vice versa.. they are going to be on totally different schedules for a while as it is..
