QOTD 2/23
I hope Im not stepping on anyone's toes. I noticed there wasnt a QOTD and I'd like to keep em rolling so....
Does your pet do any special-out of the ordinary tricks?
My Shih Tzu can dance! He stands on his hind legs and dances with me without me holding his front paws.

DH taught our dog give me 10 he holds up both hands like a high 5 and the dog jumps up and touches both of the palms. It is really cute.

My cat plays fetch. When she's being good, she'll drop the sardine into my hand so that I can toss it again.

Re: QOTD 2/23
Hmmm nothing too special. We do a trick with Irwin, our older dog, where we ask him for his paw and he'll give us one and then we say "No, the other one." and he switches. Back and forth and back and forth. He's a cutie.

Re: QOTD 2/23
He stares at me intently, I'm almost positive he;s trying to do some kind of vulcan mind trick or something but it usually always involves food

Bonnie barks
(She's a cat)
Ok maybe more of a quack but its odd. hahaha
My old kitten Sparky (RIP ) He would fetch a ball and return it, roll over and sleep on your shoulders (interesting balancing act) he died after 6m with us. But he's always still in our minds..

Re: QOTD 2/23
We taught Brinkley to touch our hand, no matter where it is. We did it as a precursor to ringing bells next to the back door so he'd tell us when he wants to go out. We don't use the bells anymore but "touch" is a cute trick.
We taught both of them to turn counter clockwise, in unison. Why? I don't know. It's cute. We practice the "nothing in life is free" training approach and they do commands for us every night before their evening snack.
Brinkley "speaks" but instead of barking, he snaps his jaw together like an alligator. I'll hide pieces of treats around the office and say "search!" and they'll go off running, finding them all.
If I put potholders on and say, "wanna fight?" Brinkley will jump and wrap his front legs around my forearms and I'll pretend punch him in the mouth.
We are SUCH nerds.

Re: QOTD 2/23
Abby can wake me up....considering I sleep like a rock and I'm 8 months pregnant on top of that, I consider it quite a feat!
But in all seriousness, neither of them have any special tricks that they do.

One of my shih tzu sings..well not really sings but, sure sounds like he's trying to. Maybe we should start them in a band?

Before we got married, one of DW's cats would open the sliding screen door with her claws to go in or out of the house....

Re: QOTD 2/23
When he was a kitten, my cat could flip. He would do it all the time when chasing toys. I wish I had gotten it on camera. Unfortunately, 8 years ago, cell phones didn't have great video cameras like they do today
ETA: I don't know if this counts, but 3 out of my 4 finches were in my dissertation. I trained them to peck keys while listening to a sound. They pecked the left key when they heard one sound, and they had to peck the right key when they heard a change in that sound to get a food reward. I loved them so much I took 3 home after I graduated
