Anyone have a Breast specialist/Surgeon rec.
for a biopsy and follow up care that they love? I'm in the Babylon area but will travel for a great Dr. TIA

If you're willing to travel into the city, I see Sheldon Feldman @ Columbia-Presbyterian - I love him. My mom saw Brian O'Hea at Stony Brook,and had previously seen Virginia Maurer in Mineola. HTH.

Thank you so much ladies....
I've called a few of the earlier suggestions and most didn't take my insurance. I will try calling the others tomorrow
Thanks again, this is a scary path and I'd rather not just choose someone out of an insurance book

My surgeon is Deborah Axelrod at NYU Clinical Cancer institute. I absolutely LOVE her. My best friend's mother sees her partner in the practice Beth Siegel and raves about her. they both participate in many insurance plans.
I had surgery at NYU last year and can not say enough about the great care I received there.

Dr. Frank Monteleone - Winthrop. Mineola. He is a genius, really. He did my mom's surgery, which was a difficult surgery because of the placement and composition of her tumors, and was very honest with me about my need for surgery, which I love. Highly Recommend him.

(on the campus of Mercy Medical Center)
She is amazing. Both my mom and her go to her several times a year for breast checks. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and she did her lumpectomy and double mastectomy. She also biopsed a lump I had (benign, thank god) and removed it. She is wonderful. Very thorough and takes time with you.
