My cat Bella will sit in our hallway, stare up a wall towards the ceiling, meow at it then try to jump up the wall as if something were there and she's trying to get at it.

DH swears we have a ghost in the house.

One of my cats does something similar to this too!

My dog Sam.. he will take ONE piece of his dog food and throw it around the room - pounce on it, pick it up again and throw it, pounce again ... almost like a cat... for 5 minutes before he eats it.

Re: QOTD - 2/25

Our dog, Lucy- the pit mix, is spoiled completely rotten. She refuses to lay on the bare wooden floor. Of course, she has a dog bed in her crate, but that's only ever a last resort. First she'll try and muscle her way in on the couch, then she'll try to get into the bedroom to lay out on the bed, then if that door is closed all the way, she'll try to get into the bathroom to lay on the fuzzy rug- if that door is closed, too, then she climbs onto our dining room chairs and sits on them. She tries to lay down, but it never works. But anything, ANYTHING not to lay on the floor. For awhile, we had the chairs moved into another room and so she'd steal our coats or sweatshirts that were hanging on the banister in the hallway and drag them onto the floor to lay on. Chat Icon Spoiled rotten.

Lucy also punishes herself. She knows when she does something wrong that she's going to be told to go into her crate. So she doesn't even wait to be told, she just runs in there and looks guilty. Chat Icon

ETA: Another weird thing Lucy does (Irwin is totally normal compared to her) is she will flip her bowls over when she's done eating. She has to eat in her crate because she's a big bully and our other dog has a bit of food aggression when it comes to Lucy. So when Lucy is finished eating and drinking in her crate, she hits the bowls with her paw until the flip over and then just looks at me or my DH expectantly, waiting to be let out.

Odie MUST bury something on our bed before we go to sleep. If he doesn't he'll wake me up at like 2:30 WHINING. If he wasn't so cute (and I wasn't so opposed to animal violene) I would kick him

When I'm in the shower, she pokes her head inside the shower curtain and licks the water off the tile & tub..

or sometimes she just pokes her head between the fabric shower curtain & the clear plastic one and just sits there and watches.. I have a perv for a dog.. Chat Icon

Oh, she also will NOT eat dog bones/treats (like the edible nylabones) over a certain size.. if it's bigger than say 3 inches, she will hide it and them spend the next couple weeks relocating it all around the house 10 times per day. Eventually she forgets about it. I found about 10 bones around my house in random places when I moved. Chat Icon

In our first apt, Hades would pounce on this spot on the kitchen floor. Same spot every time. We looked and there was NOTHING there. Seriously, I think cats know things we don't.

The other thing Hades does is he'll ask to play and we start to swing his wand toy on the floor. He'll chase it once and then go eat Chat Icon Like, every time we start to play, he chases the toy once and then goes and runs to eat.

Zoey snores...ALOT and very loud, one time I woke DH up because I thought it was him. She also gets very excited when you get her a new collar, she's such a girlie girl! And it's not easy finding bling for a big girl!

Sam has a toy he walks around with alot and he drops it in his food bowl while he's eating so one of the other two won't take it.

Logan has to put his head under something - the coffee table, the bed, a blanket, a pillow, his bed, something when he goes to sleep. He's a quirky dog, adorable though.

Re: QOTD - 2/25

Sadler will not climb the stairs or step on anything unfamiliar to him.

He will sit at the top or the foot of the staircase and bark/whine for someone to come and get him. Its weird. If I try to coax him, he just barks and whines more.

But, if he really wants something he will come down. Like if I say do you want to go to the park? He's down in a flash.

I'm not sure if that had something to do with us living in an apt building for sometime b4 we moved into the house or what.

Regardless... he's just spoiled.

Kasey likes to poop in the middle of the street. He will stop and squat right in the center of the sidewalk!

Jackson really doesnt do anything weird. He is like the perfect dog!

Re: QOTD - 2/25

Pico hides all his rawhide treats in random spots. We find them in the laundry, closet, shoes - everywhere. And if I happen to find one he gets so mad and hides it somewhere new lol.

He also thinks he's human. He loves to get dressed up in his doggy clothes, he sleeps in the bed with us, if we have company over he sits on the couch with them.

His trademark is whenever someone is at the door he has to grab one of his toys and show it to them. It's the funniest thing, as soon as he hears the bell he goes running for a toy.

My female dog will cover her food bowl with a towel or something if on the floor....by pushing it with her nose.Chat Icon Guess she doesn't care for it.

My male dog will scratch on my HARDWOOD FLOOR when the sun shines in on it, b/c he wants to lay down in the sun and is trying to make the spot comfy by "softening" the area. So we run to put his bed there so he doesn't destroy my floor. Little brat.Chat Icon

Re: QOTD - 2/25

Misty HAS to eat her "cookies" on a carpeted area....so she takes the biscuit and runs to a carpeted room to eat it. If, by chance, all doors are closed she just runs around the house holding it in her mouth with a panicky look on her face.
She also waits by the bed for "permission" to come to bed at night. If we don't give her the okay she noses us until we do.

Espresso loves to sleep on the arms of the couches with his front feet folded up under him and his back legs dangling...looks hilarious.
