Tax Question

For those who work at a camp during the summer - the 1099 you receive - does is say Misc? And how do you classify that (side job, self employed, etc.)? I'm trying to do our taxes first time as a married couple and Turbo Tax keeps telling me that he's self employed. Then we owe so much $ if it does that. I could use any help you guys can give.

Working at a camp shouldn't be considered self employment..I did for many years and it somehow got factored in, but not that way..sorry I can't be of more help
