Put the swingset back together or no?
My kids are 8, 6 1/2 and almost 5.
Last Fall we put in a new patio and redid the lawn with sod, which looks beautiful, best our backyard grass has ever looked. Now that it's thawed out there and I can see the grass again, we are wondering if we should put the swingset back up.
They will play on it if it is there but they always find a way to play without it too. So we don't know if we want it and putting so much stress on the grass. For the first time we don't have a huge bald dirt spot from the swing and I like it. But I do have kids so I don't want to be so anal either.
Thoughts? Are they getting too old for it. Obviously not the 4 yr old but the others

If they played on it when it was out there, I would say put it back up. It will only hurt a small part of the lawn that can be re-grown later on. Don't deprive them of a play area just for the sake of your lawn. Let your kids be kids

My 10 yr old still used the swings all the time. Not the slide, but the swings and the fort.

Unless its a cheesy one with a low weight limit, I would definitely put it back up. My nieces and nephews come over and play on it all the time (up 14 yrs old!) LOL They love it, which cracks me up.

Re: Put the swingset back together or no?
Thank you for the responses. I know several people who are getting rid of swing sets, they say their kids don't play on them anymore. Since my yard is not that big and the grass is SO NICE, that's the main reason we are up in the air on doing it. But yesterday my older 2 had friends over and they played in the yard all day and were using the fort part (sitting on my patio) in their adventures so it looks like they will probably use it.
