Almost 2yo DS is constantly fighting us. He runs away when we try to dress him. It seems to be a fun game for him. It is so tiring to get out of the apt lately. I don't know if it is a discipline problem.

This is what I do in the morning when DD will not come put her coat on. I open the door and jiggle my keys like I am leaving. She comes crying.

lol DD definitely runs away from me when I bring out the coat in the morning. The only thing that works for us is if I tell her what we are going to do that day once we leave the house and make it sound really exciting. Like "oh boy once we get in the car were going to go see so and so!!" If she decides that thats worth it enough to put the coat on then she lets me get it on easily. Otherwise i just have to force it on her unhappily. When its time to leave places to come home she also doesn't like her coat being put back on so I always make a big deal about which toys we will play with when we get home, or the fact that we can play with the dog when we get home.

Yep, I did this.

I walked out on her. Got tired of her crap and said "Enough, mommy's leaving" and walked straight out without a look back. Sat outside on our porch where she couldn't see me. Finally she was calling for me. I went back in and said it was time to leave. No go, I walked out again, this time she saw me walk out. I waited until she was crying then said "are you going to be a good girl and put your shoes on?" .... "Okay" then asked her to get her shoes for me and she did. We got dressed and went out.

.... she got marshmallows in the car and juice LOL I am such a sucker for this kiddo!

DS does this sometimes... I usually resort to bribery...if you hurry us and put shoes/coat on, you'll have enough time to get a toy to take with you....

Or start a good manners chart - like a potty chart (google them, you'll get on that fits DC's likes)...
